On April 19, the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) became a venue for "28 Panfilov’s men" film show.

Ahead of the approaching 79th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, a Russian film telling about the feat of the division under the command of Major General Ivan Panfilov during the heroic defense of Moscow in the autumn of 1941 aroused genuine interest among the leadership of the educational institution.

90 officers of all types and branches of the armed forces from 17 African countries, who are studying at the college, were deeply impressed by the shown historical events and highly commended the cinematography and dynamics of the movie.

At the conclusion of the screening event, the Russian Defense Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Victor Dolgerov, held a meeting with the GAFCSC Commandant, Major General Mathew Essien, to discuss issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of military education.

Having considered the extremely positive reaction of the audience, the leadership of the college approved of the Embassy's proposal to organize additional film screenings for the students, who were unable to come because of their duties.
